Ministers of the transitional government and leaderships from Declaration of Freedom and Change Movement were detained. In addition, the Prime Minister Abdallah Hamdok was under house arrest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Hamdok urged the Sudanese to hold to peace and occupy the streets to defend their revolution,&#8221; Sudan&#8217;s Information Ministry stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In another statement, the ministry said the joint military forces that put Hamdok under house arrest press him to release statements to support the coup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Military forces, composed of several branches, detained the Minister of Information Hamza Baloul, the Minister of Industry Ibrahim al-Sheikh, the DFCF leader Khalid Omar Youssef and other political and partisan figures as well as civilians members of the Ruling Transitional Council, according to Sky News.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Military forces stormed the house of the media advisor to the PM Faisal Mohammed Saleh and arrested him.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Secretary of the Arab Socialist Ba&#8217;ath Party Ali al-Rih al-Sanhori were among the detainees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Joint military forces arrested civilian members of the Ruling Transitional Council in addition to other ministers,&#8221; Sudan&#8217;s Information Ministry stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Military forces closed roads and bridges in the capital Khartoum and blocked highways to the main cities. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Media outlets reported the Internet was cut in the capital and military forces closed bridges and tunnels. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the other hand, protesters blocked some roads in Khartoum city and set fires in the street refusing the campaign of arrests. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Central Committee of Sudanese Doctors announced a strike at hospitals except for the emergency conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Doctors withdraw from hospitals affiliated with the military forces.
