{"id":66510,"date":"2021-10-21T11:59:18","date_gmt":"2021-10-21T11:59:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=66510"},"modified":"2021-10-21T11:59:19","modified_gmt":"2021-10-21T11:59:19","slug":"turkey-iran-sign-promotion-and-cooperation-relations-memorandum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/66510\/","title":{"rendered":"Turkey-Iran sign promotion and cooperation relations memorandum"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) \u2013 <\/strong>On Wednesday, Turkey and Iran signed a memorandum of understanding concerning security, stressing the brotherhood relations between the two countries and refusal of any conspiracy powers to spoil this relation.&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The memorandum was signed during a meeting between the Iranian Minister of Interior, Ahmad Vahidi and his Turkish counterpart S\u00fcleyman Soylu in the Iranian capital, Tehran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;The new phase of the bilateral relations will work for the account of the two states&#8217; people. Both Iran and Turkey show interest to broaden their strategic relations. Now it is time to enhance such relations,&#8221; Vahidi said in a press conference on Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Iran and Turkey discussed the cooperation to fight against terrorism, smuggling of drug and weapons and secure their borders; it was a really successful meeting,&#8221; Vahidi added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In his turn, Soylu said &#8220;the memorandum aims to promote cooperation, especially in the field of security.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;The memorandum prohibits all kinds of terrorist and illegal activities, particularly those relevant to borders between Turkey and Iran,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Soylu pointed to the importance of the border issue saying new joint groups have been made as proposed by the Iranian Ministry of Interior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;The issue of illegal migration has been profoundly discussed especially following the recent events in Afghanistan.
