{"id":66087,"date":"2021-10-13T19:51:59","date_gmt":"2021-10-13T19:51:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=66087"},"modified":"2021-10-13T19:52:01","modified_gmt":"2021-10-13T19:52:01","slug":"anthony-blinken-reveals-three-american-noes-towards-syria","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/66087\/","title":{"rendered":"Anthony Blinken reveals three American noes towards Syria"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>WASHINGTON, US (North Press) \u2013<\/strong> The United States will not welcome any step towards normalization with Syria&#8217;s Assad, nor will it lift sanctions on Syria, the US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, said on Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a tripartite meeting with his Emirati counterpart, Abdullah bin Zayed and the Israeli Yair Lapid, Blinken added that the US policy towards Syria will not change, and &#8220;we will remain opposed to any rebuilding efforts until there is a political progress.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;What we have not done and what we do not intend to do is to express any support for efforts to normalize relations or rehabilitate Mr. Assad or lifted a single sanction on Syria or changed our position to oppose the reconstruction of Syria, until there is irreversible progress toward a political solution, which we believe is necessary and vital,&#8221; &nbsp;Blinken added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;We have continued to work to push the Assad regime to pledge to respect the international laws, human rights, the military truces, and accept a real political transition,&#8221; he noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The US Secretary of State indicated that they have been focusing their military efforts in Syria on &#8220;targeting any extremist armed group that targets us or our allies.
