QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) \u2013<\/strong> On Thursday, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) opened a special center for dialysis in the city of Qamishli, northeast Syria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The opening of the center comes within the plans of the Autonomous Administration through the Health Board in the Jazira Region to develop health services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“This center was opened after a long study, which was suggested by the townships and the cantons’ councils because of the urgent need for it,” Rojin Ahmad, head of the health committee in Qamishli, said.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“There is an increase in the number of people with kidney disease, and this center covers five districts and 16 towns,” she added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is one center that was opened in the city of Derik, far northeast Syria, a while ago, which covers only four districts, in addition to a center affiliated with the Syrian government in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ahmad stated that the center is equipped with a specialized medical staff, six dialysis devices, blood pressure medications, diluents, analgesics and preservatives, and there is a resuscitation department, a pharmacy, and a laboratory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
