{"id":65294,"date":"2021-09-28T13:29:27","date_gmt":"2021-09-28T13:29:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=65294"},"modified":"2021-09-28T13:29:27","modified_gmt":"2021-09-28T13:29:27","slug":"no-need-for-security-approval-to-enter-syria-jordanian-minister-of-interior","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/65294\/","title":{"rendered":"No need for security approval to enter Syria: Jordanian Minister of Interior"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) \u2013<\/strong> On Monday, Jordanian Minister of the Interior Mazen al-Faraya said that there is no longer a need to obtain security approvals for Jordanians wishing to enter Syria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThere is no longer a need to obtain an approval form the Ministry of Interior for any Jordanian wishing to leave to Syria,\u201d al-Faraya told the Jordanian <em>al-Mamlaka<\/em> channel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe security assessment indicates that the situation on the Syrian side is currently stable and allows the movement of Jordanians towards Syria. The movement from Syria to Jordan took place as agreed upon with the Syrian Minister of Interior.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe Jordanian vehicles can also go to and from Syria at any time with the requirement of taking two doses of coronavirus vaccine.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe logistics are ready at the crossing before making the decision, and they have been verified in advance.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Monday, <a href=\"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/65236\/\">al-Faraya<\/a> said that the Syrian-Jordanian Jaber [Nasib] border crossing will open on Wednesday morning, September 29, to revitalize trade and tourism between the two countries, taking into consideration the required security and health measures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The opening of the crossing came after the relative calm witnessed in the Daraa city, south Syria, after the settlement processes that the Syrian government is conducting with residents from the area is about to end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The border crossing witnessed several closures due to the escalation of security tension in southern Syria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Monday, a <a href=\"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/65233\/\">ministerial delegation<\/a> of the Syrian government visited Jordan in order to hold joint meetings to discuss several issues including power, water, and transportation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The past few months witnessed a remarkable development in Jordan&#8217;s relations with the Syrian government after years of political tension between them, where the latter accused Amman of \u201csupporting terrorism\u201d on its territories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In July, the Syrian Minister of Interior Muhammad al-Rahmoun had a phone call with his Jordanian counterpart, al-Faraya, which was the first of its kind at the level of ministers in years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On September 8, a meeting was held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, which included the Ministers of Energy of Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and Egypt, during which they discussed the issue of Egyptian gas supplies to Lebanon, via Jordan and Syria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe Syrian people have suffered more than any other people in the world, and the Syrian crisis must be resolved,\u201d the Jordanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Safadi said from New York, On September 22.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Reporting by Muhammad al-Qadi<\/strong><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jordanian Minister of the Interior Mazen al-Faraya said that there is no longer a need to obtain security approvals for Jordanians wishing to enter #Syria.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":5,"featured_media":65295,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"pgc_sgb_lightbox_settings":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[3,2],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-65294","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-politics","category-syria"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.2 -
