{"id":64591,"date":"2021-09-09T13:27:02","date_gmt":"2021-09-09T13:27:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=64591"},"modified":"2021-09-09T13:27:03","modified_gmt":"2021-09-09T13:27:03","slug":"unidentified-persons-target-government-forces-vehicle-in-syrias-daraa-settlement-terms-implemented-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/64591\/","title":{"rendered":"Unidentified persons target government forces\u2019 vehicle in Syria\u2019s Daraa, settlement terms implemented"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>DARAA, Syria (North Press) \u2013<\/strong> On Wednesday, Syrian government forces entered the besieged neighborhoods of the city of Daraa, southern Syria, and some of the IDPs returned to their homes, while unknown persons targeted a government vehicle which resulted in casualties.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lifting the siege on the neighborhoods of Daraa al-Balad, Tariq al-Sadd and the camps was one of the terms of the agreement signed on September 5 with a Russian guarantee. &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cForces of the Eighth Brigade of the Russian-backed Fifth Corps preceded the government forces in entering the Daraa camps,\u201d a local source from Daraa al-Balad told North Press.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe Russian-backed forces were monitoring government forces&#8217; searches of some homes to prevent looting and stealing,\u201d the source added. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On September 5, a number of Daraa\u2019s notables and government forces, in the presence of a number of Russian officers, reached <a href=\"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/64449\/\">a ceasefire agreement<\/a> which stipulated the handover of weapons and deployment of government security points in the neighborhoods which were besieged during the last two months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, in the afternoon, unidentified individuals targeted a military vehicle belonging to the 112<sup>th<\/sup> Brigade of the government forces in the western countryside of Daraa.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Civil sources said that seven government members were killed and three others were wounded after an IED exploded in a military vehicle on the al-Shabraq Naf\u2019a road in the western countryside of Daraa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following the incident, the government forces, stationed in Tel al-Jemou\u2019 in the western countryside of Daraa, targeted the town of Tasil with four artillery shells. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Reporting by Ihsan Muhammad<\/strong><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In coincidence with the implementation of the settlement terms in #Daraa, southern #Syria, an IED exploded in military vehicle of the government forces killing and wounding many. #Russia #Iran  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":5,"featured_media":64592,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"pgc_sgb_lightbox_settings":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[7,2],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-64591","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-military-developments","category-syria"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.2 -
