{"id":64113,"date":"2021-08-28T15:07:25","date_gmt":"2021-08-28T15:07:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=64113"},"modified":"2021-08-28T15:07:25","modified_gmt":"2021-08-28T15:07:25","slug":"iraqi-forces-capture-isis-members-in-bordering-area-with-syria","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/64113\/","title":{"rendered":"Iraqi forces capture ISIS members in bordering area with Syria"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>ERBIL, KRG, Iraq (North Press) \u2013<\/strong> On Saturday, the Iraqi Nineveh governorate Police Command announced the arrest of four members of the Islamic State (ISIS) in Zummar district, near the Syrian border.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The arrest of the four members came based on \u201carrest warrants issued by the judiciary and through the cooperation of citizens,\u201d according to a statement issued by the governorate police, which was posted by the Iraqi Ministry of Interior on its official Facebook. &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With this arrest, the number of ISIS members who were arrested in the same area within a week, increases to 12.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the statement, two of the captured were working as a fighters in the so-called \u201cGeneral Camps\u201d, while the other two were working as a fighters in the so-called \u201cal-Furqan Division and Diwan al-Jund\u201d during the period of ISIS control over the city of Mosul.&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On August 26, the spokesman for the Iraqi armed forces, Yahya Rasoul, announced the arrest of an ISIS leader in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last week, the Iraqi forces arrested 8 ISIS members in two separate operations in the Zummar district, according to the Security Media Management.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Reporting by Hassan Haji<\/strong><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Within a week, the Iraqi forces arrested 12 #ISIS members in the Zummar district, adjacent to Syrian border. #Syria #Iraq  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":5,"featured_media":64114,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"pgc_sgb_lightbox_settings":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[39,8],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-64113","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-home","category-middle-east"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.2 -
