{"id":63146,"date":"2021-08-05T17:31:32","date_gmt":"2021-08-05T17:31:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=63146"},"modified":"2021-08-05T17:31:33","modified_gmt":"2021-08-05T17:31:33","slug":"survivors-of-turkish-shelling-in-syrias-ain-issa-in-serious-condition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/63146\/","title":{"rendered":"Survivors of Turkish shelling in Syria\u2019s Ain Issa in serious condition"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>RAQQA, Syria (North Press) \u2013<\/strong> Two survivors of a house that was bombed by Turkey two days ago, are still in serious condition, the head of the ambulance department at the National Hospital in the city of Raqqa, northern Syria, said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe little girl, Sundus al-Darwish and her mother, Khitam al-Shabhar, who arrived at the hospital yesterday, were wounded by shrapnel in the head, and they were placed under observation due to the instability of their health,\u201d he told North Press.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The one-year-old child girl, Sundus, was placed on a bed in the hospital&#8217;s department of surgery, next to her injured mother.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yesterday at dawn, <a href=\"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/63076\/\">four members of the family lost their lives<\/a>, and the child girl and her mother were wounded by shrapnel due to the bombing of the Turkish forces and the affiliated opposition factions on the family&#8217;s house in the countryside of Ain Issa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe Ain Issa massacre, which affected safe civilians, is not new to Turkish practices in Syria,\u201d Yahya Mahmoud, secretary of the Raqqa branch of the Syrian National Democratic Alliance Party, said today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cTurkey is an occupying state that practices the agendas of occupiers and killers, and it did not come to rebuild or create a healthy future for the Syrian people,\u201d he added. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A day after the tragedy, Khitam al-Shabhar, 35, mother of Sundus, seemed unable to speak except about her children, Ziyad, Mona, Huda, and their father, who were killed in the Turkish bombing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhat did they gain from exterminating an entire family?\u201d she asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The head of the department of surgery at the hospital said that the girl \u201cwas injured by multiple shrapnel and material loss in the scalp, and her condition is unstable.\u201d &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He added that the mother also \u201cneeds to be monitored in the department.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since Turkey and its affiliated factions took control of the areas of Tel Abyad and Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain) in 2019, areas in the northern countryside of Raqqa and north of Hasakah have been subjected to repeated Turkish bombardment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yesterday evening, the <a href=\"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/63115\/\">Turkish shelling on the village of Umm al-Keif<\/a> in the northern countryside of Hasakah led to the injury of an elderly woman. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Reporting by Ammar Haydar<\/strong><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A mother and her one-year-old child girl, who were wounded due to the Turkish shelling on their house in #Ain_Issa, killing four members of the family, are in a serious condition. #Raqqa #AANES #Syria #Turkey   <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":5,"featured_media":63147,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"pgc_sgb_lightbox_settings":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[39,7,2],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-63146","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-home","category-military-developments","category-syria"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.2 -
