{"id":62561,"date":"2021-07-22T12:02:10","date_gmt":"2021-07-22T12:02:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=62561"},"modified":"2021-07-22T12:02:11","modified_gmt":"2021-07-22T12:02:11","slug":"turkey-finishes-building-50000-houses-in-north-syria-erdogan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/62561\/","title":{"rendered":"Turkey finishes building 50,000 houses in north Syria: Erdogan"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) \u2013<\/strong> Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan revealed that Turkey has finished building 50,000 temporary briquette houses out of 100,000 that it intends to use to house refugees in northern Syria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This came yesterday, Wednesday, in Erdogan&#8217;s response to journalists&#8217; questions at the end of his visit to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, and in commenting on the statements of the head of the Turkish opposition Republican People&#8217;s Party Kemal Kilicdaroglu regarding his intention to deport Syrian refugees to Syria in the event of his ascension to power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Turkish Anadolu Agency quoted Erdogan describing the building of houses in northern Syria as an &#8220;Islamic, humane, and sentimental approach that Kilicdaroglu does not have.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Erdogan vowed that Turkey would not throw the Syrian refugees &#8220;into the arms of the killers,&#8221; as long as he is in power in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Local and international organizations accuse Turkey of seeking to change the demography of northern Syria by settling loyalists there with the aim of consolidating its expansion in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Over the past months, Turkey announced the construction of a number of housing projects in Afrin, northwest Syria, and the areas it controlled in northern Syria.
