IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – <\/strong>Since mid-Monday night, opposition factions have intensified their artillery and missile shelling on the Syrian government forces’ positions in the countryside of Idlib, Hama and Latakia in northwest Syria, in response to the Syrian and Russian military escalation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fateh al-Mubin Operations Room, which includes Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, the National Front for Liberation and Jaysh al-Izza, in addition to other factions, intensified its artillery and missile shelling on the government forces and Russia, Military sources in the Syrian opposition told North Press.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The missile shelling targeted the city of Qardaha, the birthplace of the Syrian President Bashar Assad, and the town of Slinfeh in the Latakia countryside, in addition to targeting areas in Jabal al-Turkman, north of Latakia, with heavy artillery, according to the sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It also targeted an operations room of the Russian forces in the town of Karuma, south of Idlib, which led to its destruction, in addition to targeting sites in the cities of Kafr Nabl, Ma’arrat al-Nu’man and Saraqib, and the towns of Basqala, Hazarin, Khan al-Sabil, Kafr Battikh and Maardabsa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Hama, opposition factions announced targeting the government forces’ positions in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In turn, the government forces shelled with heavy artillery and missiles the outskirts of the towns of Bazabur and al-Fatira in the southern countryside of Idlib from their positions in the surrounding checkpoints.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
