{"id":62287,"date":"2021-07-14T09:41:03","date_gmt":"2021-07-14T09:41:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=62287"},"modified":"2021-07-14T09:41:03","modified_gmt":"2021-07-14T09:41:03","slug":"central-committees-reach-agreement-with-8th-brigade-in-syrias-daraa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/62287\/","title":{"rendered":"Central committees reach agreement with 8th Brigade in Syria\u2019s Daraa"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press)<\/strong> &#8211; On Wednesday, the central committees in Daraa governorate reached an agreement to form a committee to rule on the ongoing dispute between the residents of the town of Elemtaih in the eastern countryside of Daraa and the leadership of the government\u2019s Eighth Brigade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last week, the town of Elemtaih witnessed clashes between elements of the Russian-backed Syrian government\u2019s Fifth Corps and wanted individuals in the town, which resulted in deaths among the group members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The headquarters of the Eighth Brigade of the Russian-backed Fifth Corps is located in the city of Busra al-Sham in the southeastern countryside of Daraa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The brigade brought military reinforcements to the town of Elemtaih and arrested dozens of people due to the clashes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It also imposed a curfew and burned more than 10 houses after the killing of a number of its members and leaders, according to the <em>Ahrar Houran Gathering<\/em> website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Daraa\u2019s central committees were formed by locals in July 2018 after government forces took control of Daraa.
