{"id":61780,"date":"2021-07-03T15:57:11","date_gmt":"2021-07-03T15:57:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=61780"},"modified":"2021-07-03T15:57:12","modified_gmt":"2021-07-03T15:57:12","slug":"sdc-condemns-syrian-opposition-statements-on-syrias-afrin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/61780\/","title":{"rendered":"SDC condemns Syrian opposition statements on Syria\u2019s Afrin"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) &#8211; <\/strong>In a statement on Saturday, the Syrian Democratic Council condemned the statements of the vice president of the opposition coalition, in which he denied the violations taking place in Afrin, north Syria, at the hands of Turkish-backed factions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Wednesday, Abdul Hakim Bashar, vice president of the opposition Syrian National Coalition (SNC) and representative of the Kurdish National Council within the SNC, claimed during a political seminar in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq that alleges about Turkish-backed factions\u2019 violations in Afrin are \u201clies.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In their statement, the SDC denied the remarks by Bashar, describing his statement as \u201ccontrary to the lowest cases of Syrian patriotism and the principles of normal morals in dealing with humanitarian issues.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Abdul Hakim Bashar&#8217;s statements coincided with the statements of his boss, Nasr Hariri, and the Information Office of the coalition, in which he calls for a new Turkish occupation of areas in north Syria,&#8221; the statement added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The statement held the Kurdish National Council responsible, saying that &#8220;it did not express its position on such statements by its representatives in the coalition.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The statement pointed out that the violations &#8220;have become known, circulated, and proven in the reports of the Human Rights Organization, Amnesty International, and many Arab and local Syrian human rights organizations and institutions.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SDC called on all parties concerned with human rights to investigate the actual situation in occupied Afrin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Reporting by Khalaf Ma\u2019o<\/strong><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Syrian Democratic Council condemned the statements of the vice president of the opposition coalition, in which he denied the violations taking place in #Afrin, north #Syria, at the hands of Turkish-backed factions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":5,"featured_media":61781,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"pgc_sgb_lightbox_settings":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[3,2],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-61780","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-politics","category-syria"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.2 -
