{"id":61774,"date":"2021-07-03T14:52:28","date_gmt":"2021-07-03T14:52:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=61774"},"modified":"2021-07-03T14:52:28","modified_gmt":"2021-07-03T14:52:28","slug":"syrias-damascus-launches-gps-service-to-control-transportation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/61774\/","title":{"rendered":"Syria&#8217;s Damascus launches GPS service to control transportation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) \u2013 <\/strong>On Friday, member of the Executive Office of the Transport Sector in Damascus Governorate Mazen al-Dabbas announced that GPS service will be generalized to all Syrian government-held areas.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Syrian government-held areas are witnessing overcrowding on different transport lines inside and outside Damascus, causing an ongoing transportation crisis for people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;The GPS service was implemented on several government and public cars and buses in Damascus Governorate,&#8221; al-Dabbas told a local website.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Global Positioning System (GPS) is a system owned by the United States government and operated by the United States Space Force. It is one of the global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) that provides geolocation and time information to a GPS receiver anywhere on or near the Earth.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This system consists of three sectors: the outer space sector, the control sector, and the user sector.
