{"id":61630,"date":"2021-06-29T20:07:22","date_gmt":"2021-06-29T20:07:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=61630"},"modified":"2021-06-29T20:07:23","modified_gmt":"2021-06-29T20:07:23","slug":"syrias-aanes-refutes-information-about-death-of-young-man-in-prison","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/61630\/","title":{"rendered":"Syria\u2019s AANES refutes information about death of young man in prison"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) \u2013 <\/strong>On Tuesday, the Office of Justice and Reform Affairs of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) said the information circulating about a death in a prison in Hasakah of a \u201cbrain stroke\u201d has nothing to do with the truth, and the photos published are not of the dead man\u2019s body. They were done via montage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Earlier today, <a href=\"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/61615\/\">activists on social media<\/a>, citing people close to the family of the young man, Amin Issa al-Ali, said, he had been tortured, and they published pictures of the body that they claimed they showed signs of torture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hours later, others published photos that they said were original and compared them to what had been circulated to refute the accusations that the young man had been tortured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A statement issued by the Office of Justice and Reform Affairs said: \u201cThe deceased had previous illnesses and health problems, and he was taking medicines that his family brought to the center according to the attached doctor\u2019s prescriptions.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;By examination the body it turned out that there were no signs of violence, beating or torture, and that the cause of death was a stroke caused by arterial tension, according to medical reports,&#8221; the statement added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The media of the Autonomous Administration attached the statement with two documents of two doctors who examined the body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Office of Justice and Reform Affairs said it would refer those responsible to the judiciary \u201cin case any violations are proven.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The statement stated that the family was told that \u201cif they doubt about the medical reports, they can name five doctors in order to examine the body and find out the causes of death.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHowever, the body was received and buried by the family without conducting any medical examination,\u201d according to the statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A source of the Autonomous Administration said that a statement on the case will be read, tomorrow, on Wednesday, by the forensic medicine and the Public Prosecution at al-Aziziyah Hospital in the city of Hasakah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Office of Justice and Reform Affairs accused media channels of \u201cincitement\u201d against the Autonomous Administration, and said that what they published was \u201cshameless and unethical and against the task of media.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Reporting by Hoshang Hassan<\/strong><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A statement issued by the #AANES Office of Justice and Reform Affairs said: \u201cThe deceased had previous illnesses and health problems, and the cause of death was a stroke caused by arterial tension.\u201d  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":5,"featured_media":61631,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"pgc_sgb_lightbox_settings":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[5,2],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-61630","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-community","category-syria"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.2 -
