{"id":61555,"date":"2021-06-28T16:36:57","date_gmt":"2021-06-28T16:36:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=61555"},"modified":"2021-06-28T16:36:58","modified_gmt":"2021-06-28T16:36:58","slug":"syrias-semalka-border-crossing-resumes-work","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/61555\/","title":{"rendered":"Syria\u2019s Semalka border crossing resumes work"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>DERIK, Syria (North press) \u2013<\/strong> On Monday, the administration of the Semalka border crossing in the far northeast of Syria, with Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRG), resumed work, and the travelers\u2019 move and arrivals returned to its usual case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sherzad Othman, spokesman of the crossing, said they have resumed work according to the new system imposed by the administration of Faysh Khabur on the side of KRG.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;The crossing is open to brides, humanitarian cases, and holders of foreign and Iraqi residencies,&#8221; Othman told North press.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On June 23, &nbsp;Semalka crossing\u2019s administration <a href=\"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/61303\/\">decided to close the crossing<\/a> for travellers move and open it to only UN agencies and humanitarian organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The administration attributed the decision to close the crossing to new measures imposed by KRG government on travellers move.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On <a href=\"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/61447\/\">June 26<\/a>, The official at crossings\u2019 management of northeast Syria, Rodi Muhammad Amin, said the crossing will resume its work on Monday as it was before the closure. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As for patients and marriage cases, they have to visit the Directorate of Entry Visas in Qamishli for their travel procedures, according to the crossings\u2019 management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Reporting by Solnar Muhammad <\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DERIK, Syria (North press) \u2013 On Monday, the administration of the Semalka border crossing in the far northeast of Syria, with Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRG), resumed work, and the travelers\u2019 move and arrivals returned to its usual case.
