{"id":60984,"date":"2021-06-16T18:22:13","date_gmt":"2021-06-16T18:22:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=60984"},"modified":"2021-06-16T18:22:14","modified_gmt":"2021-06-16T18:22:14","slug":"damascus-destabilizes-sdf-areas-us-intelligence-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/60984\/","title":{"rendered":"Damascus destabilizes SDF areas: US intelligence report"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>HASAKAH, Syria (North Press)<\/strong><strong> \u2013<\/strong> On Wednesday, a US intelligence report said, the US forces monitored activities of the Syrian government by working to build relations with local tribes in the east of the country to create unrest in the Syrian Democratic Forces-held areas and where the US forces are present.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The report, which was submitted to Congress, and was seen by the Saudi Asharq al-Awsat newspaper, said, the Syrian government is \u201cworking to weaken the US relation with these tribes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Damascus is supporting attacks that can be carried out against the Global Coalition forces and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), taking advantage of the decline in the pace of operations against the Islamic State (ISIS) in Syria during the year 2020,\u201d the report added.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yesterday, media outlets close to the Syrian government published a video clip said that residents of the village of Tel al-Maha in Qamishli countryside expelled an American patrol from the village.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe Syrian opposition does not pose any threat to the Syrian regime, and is no longer able to fight it, and the front lines are likely to remain mostly static over the next six months,\u201d according to the report.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The report pointed out that Syria&#8217;s allies, Iran and Russia, as well as Hezbollah, are trying to secure their permanent military and economic presence in Syria.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Reporting by Hoshang Hassan<\/strong><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The #US intelligence report pointed out that #Syria&#8217;s allies, #Iran and #Russia as well as #Hezbollah, are trying to secure their permanent military and economic presence in Syria.   <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":5,"featured_media":60985,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"pgc_sgb_lightbox_settings":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[39,3,2],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-60984","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-home","category-politics","category-syria"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.2 -
