KOBANI, Syria (North Press) \u2013<\/strong> <\/strong>A committee tasked with preparing for secondary school exams in the Euphrates region (Kobani, Sirrin and the countryside of Tel Abyad), north Syria, has completed its preparations for the exams, which will start early next week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spokesman for the Kobani District Schools Administration and member of the committee supervising the high school exams in the Euphrates region, Adnan Hisso, said, 800 male and female students from the scientific and literary sections will sit for the exams under the supervision of 200 male and female proctors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seven exam centers have been prepared to receive secondary school students, he told North Press.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The centers are distributed in the city of Kobani and the towns of al-Qanaya, Sirrin, Jalabiya and Sheiran, in addition to a center in the village of Bagdik for students of Tel Abyad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The general examination system in the Euphrates region differs from the exams that started this week in the Jazira region, as the ninth grade is considered among the transitional grades and the two-semester system is adopted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, the high school students obtain 60% of their grades from his attending during the school year, leaving the remaining 40% allocated to the end of year exams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The students studied in 24 secondary schools of the Education Board of the Autonomous Administration, where the teaching is supervised by 175 specialized teachers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the past two days, the exam cards were given to the students, and “exam questions were prepared by specialized teachers,” according to Hisso. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The secondary school exams in the Euphrates region are scheduled to start on June 12 and ends on June 26. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
