{"id":59960,"date":"2021-05-27T12:59:52","date_gmt":"2021-05-27T12:59:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=59960"},"modified":"2021-05-27T12:59:53","modified_gmt":"2021-05-27T12:59:53","slug":"syrias-aanes-reaches-final-steps-of-drawing-euphrates-water-to-hasakah","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/59960\/","title":{"rendered":"Syria&#8217;s AANES reaches final steps of drawing Euphrates water to Hasakah"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>SHADDADI, Syria (North Press) \u2013 <\/strong>On Thursday, co-chair of the Municipalities and Local Administration Board in the Jazira region, northeast Syria, Suleiman Arab, said, they have reached the final stages of the project of drawing the Euphrates River water from Deir ez-Zor to Hasakah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Late in 2020, the AANES began the project to draw the Euphrates River water form al-Suwar station in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor to Hasakah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project included drawing water to the Shaddadi water station then to the region 47 station reaching the al-Aziziyah station in Hasakah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Arab told North Press that the work on the al-Olwa water station and feeding the project with electricity has properly completed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Final touches are left to maintain water lines and station 47,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project costs a budget of $1.5 million, according to a previous statement by Arab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Syrian government had brought the project of drawing the Euphrates\u2019 water into service before the crisis; however, it was subjected to looting and destruction by ISIS militants.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;It was scheduled that the project would be finished by the end of March, but due to malfunctions and the difficulties we have faced, we were forced to extend the duration of work,&#8221; he referred.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Board is working on pumping water experimentally from al-Suwar station to Shaddadi station to detect malfunctions in the water lines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Work to purify water of al-Aziziyah station in Hasakah will be done within a maximum period of three months,&#8221; he noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;We have conducted studies and are about to allocate a budget to rehabilitate the purification of Shaddadi water for the residents of Hasakah and its countryside,&#8221; he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Reporting by Bassem Shuweikh &nbsp;<\/strong><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The project included drawing water to the Shaddadi water station then to the region 47 station reaching the al-Aziziyah station in #Hasakah. #AANES  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":5,"featured_media":59961,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"pgc_sgb_lightbox_settings":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[5,2],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-59960","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-community","category-syria"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.2 -
