MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) \u2013 <\/strong>On Saturday, Deputy Co-chair of the Legislative Council in Manbij Jum’a Haydar said, the closure of al-Tayha crossing obstructs residents\u2019 life in the city of Manbij, north Syria. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Al-Tayha crossing connects the regions of the Syrian government with the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) areas, and has an important role in all industrial, commercial and humanitarian aspects of life in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe closure of the crossing greatly affected the lives of the residents in the city of Manbij and the rest of northeast Syria\u2019s regions, as it is considered a gate for the patients, students and employees,\u201d Haydar told North Press.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe hope that this crossing will open for the civilians\u2019 move and trade, so the citizens can secure necessary needs, industrial equipment, foodstuff, clothes and other items,\u201d he stressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Haydar called on the Russian forces to pressure the Syrian government to reopen the crossing and exclude the civilians from the political or economic pressures that Damascus put on northeast Syria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since March 21, the Syrian government has imposed restrictions on the movement of civilians and trade in three crossings linking its areas with the AANES-held areas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Al-Tayha crossing in Manbij, al-Tabqa crossing, and al-Akirshi crossing in Raqqa are the three crossings linking the government-held areas with the AANES-held areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
