{"id":58866,"date":"2021-05-04T18:22:41","date_gmt":"2021-05-04T18:22:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=58866"},"modified":"2021-05-04T18:22:42","modified_gmt":"2021-05-04T18:22:42","slug":"syrian-government-source-denies-arriving-coronavirus-vaccine-to-qamishli","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/58866\/","title":{"rendered":"Syrian government source denies arriving coronavirus vaccine to Qamishli"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) \u2013<\/strong> On Tuesday, a government medical source at the National Hospital in Qamishli, denied the arrival of any batch of coronavirus vaccines in Qamishli, northeastern Syria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Earlier, the World Health Organization (WHO) tweeted that a batch of coronavirus vaccines had reached Qamishli.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In an exclusive statement to North Press, director of the National Hospital in Qamishli, Omar Akoub, said that the vaccines have not yet arrived, and it is assumed that a limited quantity of vaccines will arrive in Qamishli in the coming days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;The specified quantity is about 150 doses of the vaccine, and the medical staff will receive them at the National Hospital in Qamishli,&#8221; Akoub added.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On April 29, the Health Board of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) revealed that allocation of coronavirus vaccination doses to the area will arrive in the few coming days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AANES Health Board co-chair Jiwan Mustafa said that about <a href=\"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/58540\/\">20,000 coronavirus vaccination doses will arrive in AANES<\/a> within the coming days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;203,000 vaccination doses have recently arrived in Syria, of which 10% is allocated to AANES,&#8221; Mustafa said.&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last week, the United Nations announced that the Syrian government had received a shipment of Covid-19 vaccines through the global COVAX initiative, which includes about 200,000 doses of coronavirus vaccine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Reporting by Khalaf Ma&#8217;o<\/strong><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>the @UN announced that the Syrian government had received a shipment of Covid-19 vaccines through the global COVAX initiative, which includes about 200,000 doses of #coronavirus vaccine. #AANES  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":5,"featured_media":58867,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"pgc_sgb_lightbox_settings":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[5,39,2],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-58866","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-community","category-home","category-syria"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.2 -
