{"id":58708,"date":"2021-05-02T19:00:51","date_gmt":"2021-05-02T19:00:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=58708"},"modified":"2021-05-02T19:00:52","modified_gmt":"2021-05-02T19:00:52","slug":"al-assad-issues-amnesty-for-crimes-committed-in-syria","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/58708\/","title":{"rendered":"Al-Assad issues amnesty for crimes committed in Syria"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) \u2013 <\/strong>On Sunday, the Syrian President, Bashar al-Assad, issued the Legislative Decree No. 13 of 2021, which grants a general amnesty for perpetrators of misdemeanors, offenses and felonies occurring before the date of the decree&#8217;s issuance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The decree ranges between full and partial amnesty for a large group of those sentenced or wanted by the Syrian judiciary. &nbsp;The most important thing included in the decree is amnesty for the internal and external fleeing. <strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The decree pardons kidnappings unless it caused the kidnapped person a permanent disability, death penalties would be replaced by life sentences with hard labor, and those life sentences would be replaced by 20 years with hard labor.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The decree did not name construction violations, as well as the crimes of arms smuggling and espionage.
