{"id":57968,"date":"2021-04-21T06:36:28","date_gmt":"2021-04-21T06:36:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=57968"},"modified":"2021-04-21T06:36:28","modified_gmt":"2021-04-21T06:36:28","slug":"internal-security-forces-evacuate-civilians-from-al-tai-syrias-qamishli-amid-clashes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/57968\/","title":{"rendered":"Internal Security Forces evacuate civilians from al-Tai, Syria\u2019s Qamishli amid clashes"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) \u2013<\/strong> On Wednesday, a North Press correspondent reported that the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) helped dozens of families safely exit al-Tai neighbourhood, which has been witnessing clashes since Tuesday night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since late Tuesday night, intermittent violent clashes have continued between the Asayish and the Damascus government\u2019s militia group known as National Defense (NDF) in northeast Syria\u2019s Qamishli.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An Asayish member was killed when the NDF targeted a checkpoint of the Asayish, according to an Asayish statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A private security source told North Press that clashes began Tuesday evening near the al-Wehda roundabout, which is controlled by Asayish, in the city center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Asayish deployed several security checkpoints and barriers at the entrances to the areas controlled by government forces and the armed groups affiliated with them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Reporting by Khalaf Ma\u2019o<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) \u2013 On Wednesday, a North Press correspondent reported that the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) helped dozens of families safely exit al-Tai neighbourhood, which has been witnessing clashes since Tuesday night.
