ERBIL, Syria (North Press) \u2013 <\/strong>Tareq Kherki, vice-president of the Kurdistan Freedom Movement (member of the Kurdish National Council in Syria-ENKS), said that there are American and Kurdish efforts to “resolve the disputed points that prevent the resumption of the intra-Kurdish dialogue.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“There are efforts from the US Deputy Special Envoy and from the presidency of the Kurdistan Region to solve the outstanding points between the Kurdish parties,” Kherki told North Press.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We, as ENKS, hope from the other side to show flexibility and to adopt the legitimate demands of the ENKS. Our demands are legitimate,” he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kherki noted to the efforts of the US Deputy Special Envoy to Syria, David Brownstein and the president of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Nechirvan Barzani to solve the disputed points.      <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On April 18<\/a>, the President of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region (KRG), Nechirvan Barzani, received David Brownstein, the US Deputy Special Envoy to Syria, and they discussed the general situation in Syria.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On April 19, the US Deputy Special Envoy to Syria, David Brownstein, discussed the intra-Kurdish dialogue<\/a> with the head of the Kurdish National Council in Syria (ENKS), Saud al-Mella.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The intra-Kurdish dialogue started with an initiative launched by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Commander-in-Chief Mazloum Abdi to unify the Kurdish position under American sponsorship following the Turkish military operation on northeastern Syria in October 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
