{"id":57889,"date":"2021-04-19T21:18:44","date_gmt":"2021-04-19T21:18:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=57889"},"modified":"2021-04-19T21:18:45","modified_gmt":"2021-04-19T21:18:45","slug":"us-deputy-envoy-meets-with-syrias-enks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/57889\/","title":{"rendered":"US deputy envoy meets with Syria&#8217;s ENKS"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>ERBIL, Iraq (North Press) \u2013 <\/strong>The US Deputy Special Envoy to Syria, David Brownstein, discussed the intra-Kurdish dialogue with the head of the Kurdish National Council in Syria (ENKS), Saud al-Mella.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The US official stressed the need to expand the dialogue to include all communities of the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The meeting took place at the US Consulate in Erbil, in the presence of Sa&#8217;eed Omar, official of the relations office of the Kurdistan Democratic Party &#8211; Syria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Earlier on Monday, Brownstein met with ENKS officials, Abdulhakim Bashar, Ibrahim Biro and Sa&#8217;eed Omar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On <a href=\"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/57779\/\">April 18<\/a>, Brownstein met with the President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Nechirvan Barzani, and President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The intra-Kurdish dialogue started with an initiative launched by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Commander-in-Chief, General Mazloum Abdi to unify the Kurdish position under American sponsorship following the Turkish military operation on northeast Syria in October 2019.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Reporting by Hassan Haji <\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ERBIL, Iraq (North Press) \u2013 The US Deputy Special Envoy to Syria, David Brownstein, discussed the intra-Kurdish dialogue with the head of the Kurdish National Council in Syria (ENKS), Saud al-Mella.
