{"id":55055,"date":"2021-02-24T16:53:32","date_gmt":"2021-02-24T16:53:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=55055"},"modified":"2021-02-24T16:53:33","modified_gmt":"2021-02-24T16:53:33","slug":"turkey-continues-turkification-policy-in-its-held-areas-in-syria","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/55055\/","title":{"rendered":"Turkey continues Turkification policy in its held areas in Syria"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>JARABULUS, Syria (North Press) \u2013 <\/strong>On Tuesday, Turkish officials opened a cultural center in the city of Jarablus, in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, in light of the continuous Turkification policy followed by Turkey in its Syrian areas of control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Turkey is seeking to impose a culture that helps it to strengthen its foothold in Syria, and thus impose a fait accompli policy on the areas it runs in northwest of Syria, in cooperation with Turkish-backed armed opposition groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Turkish official raised the Turkish flag over a center during an opening ceremony that was attended by members of the local council of Turkey and a number of city officials, an exclusive source of North Press said on Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The source pointed out that Turkey opened several cultural centers and other services in the cities of Azaz, al-Bab and Afrin, north and east Aleppo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, it started several Turkish language learning courses under the name of TOMER that has stood for Turkish and Foreign Language Training and Research Center, according to the source. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Turkey has previously opened several major investment projects in both north and east Aleppo countryside,&#8221; the source added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On February 6, Turkish president issued a decree to open a medical faculty and a health institute in al-Ra&#8217;i town, in Aleppo northern countryside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Such step is considered a <a href=\"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/54234\/\">flagrant violation<\/a> of international law and the United Nations Charter,&#8221; the Advisor of the Syrian National Reconciliation, Salim al-Kharrat previously said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2016, Turkish forces and Turkish-backed armed opposition groups took control over the city of Jarablus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Reporting by Farouq Hamo<\/strong><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>#Turkey has previously opened several major investment projects in both north and east #Aleppo countryside, a special source said. #Syria  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":5,"featured_media":55056,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"pgc_sgb_lightbox_settings":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[5,2],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-55055","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-community","category-syria"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.8 -
