{"id":54846,"date":"2021-02-21T17:58:47","date_gmt":"2021-02-21T17:58:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=54846"},"modified":"2021-02-21T17:58:48","modified_gmt":"2021-02-21T17:58:48","slug":"new-strain-of-coronavirus-detected-in-iraqi-kurdistan-region","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/54846\/","title":{"rendered":"New strain of coronavirus detected in Iraqi Kurdistan Region"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>ERBIL, Iraq (North Press) \u2013 <\/strong>On Sunday, the Ministry of Health in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRG) issued instructions for the residents to avoid the risk of the spread of the new strain of coronavirus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The KRG Health Minister, Saman Barzanji, said that the spread of the virus is &#8220;rapid&#8221;, and he called on the residents to &#8220;take care of themselves and their children by wearing face masks and applying physical distancing.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;The supreme committee to combat coronavirus will meet in the coming two days,&#8221; Rahil Faridoun, Ministry of Health Deputy, said in a press conference on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He referred to a set of options, including limiting movement and tightening procedures between the governorates of the Region and with the rest of Iraq, by subjecting the arrivals to a PCR test.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He stressed that this option &#8220;has now been activated in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and the governorates.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the first time, the Ministry of Health announced that five cases of the new strain of coronavirus were confirmed in Erbil.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For the first time, the #KRG&#8217;s Ministry of Health announced that five cases of the new strain of coronavirus were confirmed in #Erbil<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":5,"featured_media":54847,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"pgc_sgb_lightbox_settings":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[8],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-54846","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-middle-east"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.2 -
