{"id":48973,"date":"2020-10-29T12:35:48","date_gmt":"2020-10-29T12:35:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=48973"},"modified":"2020-10-29T12:35:48","modified_gmt":"2020-10-29T12:35:48","slug":"body-found-after-assassination-of-syrian-security-forces-members-in-daraa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/48973\/","title":{"rendered":"Body found after assassination of Syrian security forces&#8217; members in Daraa"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>DARAA, Syria (North Press)<\/strong> &#8211; On Thursday, an unidentified body was found in Daraa&#8217;s western countryside after the killing of three members of the Syrian government on Wednesday evening in the city of Daraa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that an unidentified body was found in the Shiyah area on the outskirts of Daraa riddled with bullet wounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In light of the security chaos in Daraa, a local source in the city of Daraa told North Press that an armed group assassinated three members of the Syrian government inside the security square in Daraa city on Wednesday evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The source added that the square \u201ccame under heavy fire by two masked men at the Military Security Forces\u2026the first of its kind since 2018 in terms of its execution inside the security square in the city of Daraa.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He said that the increase in assassinations falls under the discontent and resentment of the local population in Daraa against the security practices of the Syrian government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Most arrests and assassinations carried out by Syrian security forces target civilian activists, former military commanders, and notables who have positive roles in reconciliations and settlements in the southern region, according to the source.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Monday, young men from the town of Harak, the eastern countryside of Daraa, burned a military checkpoint belonging to the Air Force Intelligence inside the town and burned pictures of Syrian President Bashar Assad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This followed the arrest and detention of a young expatriate from the town of Harak at Damascus airport as he was returning from Kuwait on a work leave that he wanted to spend with his family in Daraa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><em>Reporting by Sami Ali<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DARAA, Syria (North Press) &#8211; On Thursday, an unidentified body was found in Daraa&#8217;s western countryside after the killing of three members of the Syrian government on Wednesday evening in the city of Daraa.
