SERE KANIYE, Syria (North Press) \u2013<\/strong> Two explosions rocked the town of Tal Halaf in the western countryside of Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain), Syria on Thursday, killing three civilians and injuring 12.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first explosion took place via a motorcycle bombing in the town’s market and led to the injury of a civilian, a local source told North Press.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The other explosion was a VBIED which detonated in the town’s market, taking place two hours after the first explosion, killing three civilians and injuring 11, the source added.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The source noted that the two explosions caused massive damage to the surrounding area, including dozens of shops, houses, and cars. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In October 2019, the Turkish army and their affiliated Syrian armed opposition groups known as the Syrian National Army (SNA), launched a military operation and pushed the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) from the border towns of Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain) and Tel Abyad (Gre Spi), leading to the deaths of about 500 civilians and the displacement of about 300,000 people. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There have been several explosions<\/a> in both towns since October, as the areas occupied by Turkey suffer from security chaos due to the conflicts among several armed groups which rule the occupied areas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
