{"id":43755,"date":"2020-01-01T20:40:32","date_gmt":"2020-01-01T20:40:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=43755"},"modified":"2020-01-01T20:40:32","modified_gmt":"2020-01-01T20:40:32","slug":"Libya is present in Turkey since 2012, Ankara targets North Africa - Libyan politician","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/43755\/","title":{"rendered":"Libya is present in Turkey since 2012, Ankara targets North Africa &#8211; Libyan politician"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"LTR\"><strong>Cairo &#8211; North-Press Agency<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\"><strong>Muhammad Abu Zaid<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">A Libyan politician has said that the current Turkish intervention in Libya is only a continuation of previous Turkish related interventions in the Libyan affairs &ndash; of which have always been talked about &#8211; since the beginning of 2012 and until now, pointing out that the effects and evidence of the Turkish interventions in supporting &quot;terrorist militias&quot; with money, weapons and equipment are very clear.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">In exclusive statements to North-Press,&nbsp; the Libyan politician Muhammad al-Zubaidi, went on saying: &quot;Turkey has been supporting the (terrorist) militias with money and weaponry since the flare-up in the situation in Libya, as Ankara has provided weapons and military expertise to Libyan militias in Tripoli and Misrata, especially the drons. The army shot down about 30 Turkish aircraft in Libya, as well as the Turkish armored vehicles on the battlefields.&quot;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">He added: &quot;The announcement of the Turkish intervention now &#8211; after the agreement of what is known as the Government of Reconciliation with Turkish President Erdogan &#8211; is nothing but a disclosure of facts we were talking about during the past years. Turkey has sent militants during those years from (terrorist) groups present in northern Syria, and used them to achieve its purposes in Libya.&quot; He continued saying that the presence of Syrian militants in Libya has been known for years, as the photos and videos confirm this.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">&quot;The Turks have a desire to seize Libya and its economic capabilities to turn it into a financial home for Turkey, as well as to use it as a base for spreading political Islam and terrorism into Africa, in order to specifically target Egypt,&quot;&nbsp; al-Zubaidi stated to North-Press.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">Moreover, the Libyan politician stressed in his statements to North-Press, that there is a kind of sharing of influence and regions between the Turks and the Iranians, as Turkey targets the Maghreb countries, and Iran targets the East, in a &quot;conspiracy of which the Arab world and the main pillars of the Arab regional system are intended by.&quot;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">Regarding the recent arrival of Syrian militants of the Turkish-backed armed groups into Libya, he said: &quot;There are audio and video clips that explain their recent activities in Libya, and their whereabouts are known and have been identified, they are not masked or concealing their identities, the videos confirm their participation &#8211;
