{"id":42922,"date":"2019-05-31T12:19:22","date_gmt":"2019-05-31T12:19:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=42922"},"modified":"2019-05-31T12:19:22","modified_gmt":"2019-05-31T12:19:22","slug":"The second stage of security campaign in Al-Hasaka and Deir Ez-Zour countryside","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/42922\/","title":{"rendered":"The second stage of security campaign in Al-Hasaka and Deir Ez-Zour countryside"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><b>The second stage of security campaign in Al-Hasaka and Deir Ez-Zour countryside<\/b><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The Syrian Democratic Forces \u201cSDF\u201d launched the second stage of its security campaign against Islamic State \u201cIS\u201d cells in the desert region of Al-Hasaka and Deir Ez-Zour countryside.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Through its security campaigns, SDF aim to eliminate the remaining elements of the &#8220;State&#8221; organization in the region and to paralyze their movements, which occasionally target their points by planting improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and launching armed attacks.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The forces launched a large-scale security campaign on Thursday morning, from two centers in the desert region extending from Al Kasrah town in the northern countryside of Deir Ez-Zour towards Al-Shaddadi town, south of Al-Hasaka governorate.<\/div>\n<div>The security campaign included an estimated area of 70 km long and 60 km wide.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>According to a military source told North Press, a quantity of weapons and ammunition were seized during the campaign, in addition to arresting dozens of militants from the cells of the organization.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The campaign, which was carried out with aerial support by the international coalition forces, targeted villages and tents in the same mentioned desert region.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>It is expected that the Syrian Democratic Forces disclose the results of their security campaign at a press conference, later.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>It is worth mentioning that the Syrian Democratic Forces launched a military campaign on 15 May to comb the surroundings of Al-Shiheil town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ez-Zour, during which 42 militants were arrested and a number of weapons and ammunition seized.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Two days ago, the forces also destroyed a car bomb for the organization in a village belonging to the town of Al-Sour, east of Deir Ez-Zour.<\/div>\n<div><b>Al-Hasaka Dlsoz Yousef &#8211; NPA<\/b><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The second stage of security campaign in Al-Hasaka and Deir Ez-Zour countryside The Syrian Democratic Forces \u201cSDF\u201d launched the second stage of its security campaign against Islamic State \u201cIS\u201d cells in the desert region of Al-Hasaka and Deir Ez-Zour countryside.
