Myles Caggins tweeted that Coalition and SDF forces carried out a joint operation against ISIS members in Deir ez-Zor the day before.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"RTL\" style=\"text-align:left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"RTL\" style=\"text-align:left\">Col. Caggins added that the operation targeted members in charge of terrorist activities in Deir ez-Zor governorate, and that they arrested a mid-level ISIS member during the operation.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"RTL\" style=\"text-align:left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"RTL\" style=\"text-align:left\">ISIS sleeper cells are active in the Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor countrysides, especially after the Turkish offensive in northeastern Syria in October last year after US President Donald Trump&#39;s decision to withdraw US forces from Syria.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"RTL\" style=\"text-align:left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"RTL\" style=\"text-align:left\">With support of the Global Coalition, the SDF have intensified their operations against leaders and members of ISIS in widespread areas in the region.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"RTL\" style=\"text-align:left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"RTL\" style=\"text-align:left\">On Saturday, SDF counter-terrorism forces arrested two ISIS members in two separate operations in the city of Raqqa.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"RTL\" style=\"text-align:left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Deir ez-Zor &#8211;
