KOBANI, Syria (North Press) – Ali Shahin, a spokesman for the scentific committee on the coronavirus epidemic affiliated with the Health Board in the Euphrates region, said that the three infections that were announced in the city of Kobani were diagnosed on the ninth of August according to samples sent for examination in a PCR machine.<\/p>\n
\nShahin said in a statement to North Press on Tuesday, that "among the three cases is an elderly person who is 70 years old and suffers from chronic diseases and respiratory problems, and his health condition is unstable. He is quarantined at home, we regularly check up and provide him with treatments."<\/p>\n
\nAli Shahin added that the second case is for a 43-year-old man who tested positive despite being asymptomatic. He was quarantined in a special room inside Kobani Hospital, and his health condition is stable."<\/p>\n
\nThe third case is a 22-year-old woman who is showing most of the symptoms of infection and is subject to treatment and monitoring in the isolation room of Kobani Hospital, and her health condition is relatively stable."<\/p>\n
\nAs for the first case, which was announced on Saturday in the town of Shiran, east of Kobani, the symptoms disappeared after treatment and her health condition is stable and recovering, according to the spokesman for the scientific committee.<\/p>\n
\nOn Tuesday, the Health Board of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria announced the registration of 19 new infections with the coronavirus in its regions, which raises the total number to 138 cases, six deaths and ten recoveries.<\/p>\n
\nThe co-chair of the Health Board in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria said in a previous statement to North Press that he expects a spike in infections at the end of August, confirming that the lockdown aims to delay the outbreaks.<\/p>\n
