QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Health Authority of Autonomous Administration in North and East Syria announced on Thursday that the number of coronavirus infections reached 54 cases since the outbreak of the pandemic last week.<\/p>\n
\nJuwan Mustafa, head of Health Authority, said four new coronavirus cases confirmed in the last twenty-four hours, bringing the number to 54 cases.<\/p>\n
\nMustafa said that the four cases were northern Aleppo countryside, including two in Tel Rifaat town, one in Kafer Naya village and one in Ahras village.<\/p>\n
\nHe further explained that the cases included three women and a man.<\/p>\n
\nSince the outbreak of the pandemic last week, one died in Ahras village in northern Aleppo countryside.<\/p>\n
\nOne case has recovered in the country’s northeastern Qamishli city.<\/p>\n
\nThe Autonomous Administration imposed a total lockdown starting on Thursday in the region it controls as a measure to stop the spread of the pandemic.<\/p>\n
