{"id":38182,"date":"2019-11-27T10:52:01","date_gmt":"2019-11-27T10:52:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=38182"},"modified":"2019-11-27T10:52:01","modified_gmt":"2019-11-27T10:52:01","slug":"Violence against women in the Syrian war is part of outsider ideology - Civil association","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/38182\/","title":{"rendered":"Violence against women in the Syrian war is part of outsider ideology &#8211; Civil association"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><strong>Latakia &#8211; North-Press Agency<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">The head of &ldquo;Mosaic Civil Association&rdquo; believes that the violence experienced by women during the years of the Syrian civil war is part of a culture and an ideology that has come to the region during the period of the Islamic State terrorist organization (ISIS).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">Sahar Jabbour, the Head of Mosaic Association for social affairs in general and women, in particular, said in an interview with North-Press: &ldquo;By following up on the cases of Yazidi women and the violence they have been subjected to at the hands of ISIS, it is an alien ideology to the nature of our society,&quot; adding: &quot;Some of them are rooted in our society because we&#39;re talking about an Eastern society,&quot; she said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">\nJabbour continued that one of the worst and most difficult cases is the sexual violence because it is seen as a shame, which makes sexually abused women hide their problems for fears of social scandal, causing them psychological problems they experience under poor living conditions and social pressures.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">Sahar Jabbour noted that during the war years, there was another form of violence involving abducted women whose children were abducted or killed in front of them, which led to widening the phenomenon of marrying underage girls, causing them a difficult psychological situation and a sense of helplessness. She called on every woman to face her problems and society bravely and without fears, pointing to the psychological support programs they provide to help women continue to live like any normal woman.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Latakia &#8211;
