{"id":37906,"date":"2019-09-15T13:21:27","date_gmt":"2019-09-15T13:21:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=37906"},"modified":"2019-09-15T13:21:27","modified_gmt":"2019-09-15T13:21:27","slug":"First kindergarten opened in Tal Abyad","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/37906\/","title":{"rendered":"First kindergarten opened in Tal Abyad"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Gre Spi \u2013 North-Press Agency<\/b><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Fattah Issa \/ Jihad Nabo<\/b><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Women&#8217;s Committee in Euphrates Region (an administrative division comprising the towns and the cities of Kobani, Ein Issa, Serin and Tal Abyad-Gre Spi) has opened the first kindergarten in the city of Tal Abyad yesterday, with the aim of assisting labor women in securing a safe place for their children, in addition to providing social activities and psychological support for children, according to the Committee.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Reasons for the late opening<\/b><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Rozin Muhammad, the deputy chairperson of Women&#8217;s Committee in Euphrates region, told North-Press that the kindergarten, which was opened under the name of the child martyr Sara, is the first opened kindergarten by the Committee in the city of Tal Abyad (Gre Spi), pointing out that the delay of its opening compared to other cities in north and eastern Syria, goes back to the difficulty of securing a suitable place on one hand, and the instability of the area in general on the other hand.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">She added that the kindergarten aims at helping working women to have a role in the society, and to achieve economic independence, in addition to developing children socially and psychologically after the wars that took place in the region, especially the kindergarten will include several recreational activities for children in the field of music and painting along with education.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">So far, the kindergarten has received about 65 children at the age of six months to five years, as the kindergarten accommodates about 80 children, according to the administration.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Mother tongue education<\/b><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Benazir Khalil, a teacher in the kindergarten, explained that teaching will be in the mother tongue, as children of the Arab component will learn the Arabic alphabet, and children of the Kurdish component will be educated in Kurdish language.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Khalil added that the kindergarten includes six rooms, which are supervised by nine female staff of teachers and administrators, and that all women, whether employees of the Autonomous Administration or workers in the private sectors, can register their children in the kindergarten.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Khalil pointed out that the administration has allocated places for children&#8217;s games within the kindergarten, as it will provide a daily meal for them, in addition to educational lessons in their mother tongue languages, as well as providing transportation for children.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Previous suffering<\/b><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">For her part, the employee at the Education Authority in the city of Tal Abyad, Gulistan Ali said that the opening of the kindergarten made it easier for her to take care of her children, as she suffered from keeping her three children with relatives and neighbors, so she can go to her job.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Moreover, Gulistan explained that the opening of the kindergarten will facilitate the work of female employees, whose numbers have increased over the past years in the city of Tal Abyad, especially since the kindergarten provides a place for children to be educated and entertained at the same time.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The number of women working in the Autonomous Administration institutions, some civil society organizations and international organizations is more than 500 women in Tal Abyad and its countryside, according to the Women&#8217;s Committee.
