QAMISHLI, Syria – (North Press) Salman Barudo, co-chair of the Economics and Agriculture Authority of the Autonomous Administration in North and East Syria, said on Saturday that trucks loaded with wheat were not allowed to pass from the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) checkpoints because they did not have a tag that defines the destination of the unloading of wheat in Autonomous Administration centers.<\/p>\n
\nBarrodo said to North Press that the agriculture department in the Autonomous Administration areas give farmers an tag showing which silo center is set to unload the harvest.<\/p>\n
\nHe pointed out that trucks that went to the Syrian Government grain siloes were stopped at Asayish checkpoints for not obtaining the tag.<\/p>\n
\nThe agricultural department in provinces and cities of northeastern Syria give farmers tags of the wheat and barley production origin in order to organize and define the silos to which farmers belong, according to their regions.<\/p>\n
\nThe Autonomous Administration decided to prevent the wheat export or export outside the areas under its control, and to hold violators accountable on Friday.<\/p>\n
\nThe Department also issued a decision allowed farmers to take wheat to the grain centers of the Autonomous Administration within each department's geographical limit.<\/p>\n
