{"id":36199,"date":"2019-11-14T08:39:55","date_gmt":"2019-11-14T08:39:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=36199"},"modified":"2019-11-14T08:39:55","modified_gmt":"2019-11-14T08:39:55","slug":"Moscow calls for consensus between Damascus and SDF without interfering in Syria\u2019s internal affairs - Russian expert ","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/36199\/","title":{"rendered":"Moscow calls for consensus between Damascus and SDF without interfering in Syria\u2019s internal affairs &#8211; Russian expert"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><strong>North-Press Agency &nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">The senior expert of the Russian Oriental Institute stressed that, Russia has called more than once for the consensus between the Syrian government and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), noting that Russia plays the role of mediator only, and doesn&#39;t interfere in the internal affairs of Syria, on the other hand, he pointed out that those who are fighting within the Turkish military operation in northeastern Syria are Turkey&#39;s &quot;mercenary&quot; groups, pointing to Russia&#39;s support for the government forces and the SDF in their right to retaliate against those groups.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><strong>Calls for reconciliation&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/strong><br \/>\nIn a statement to North-Press, Konstantin Troivtsov said that, &quot;Russia has called and demanded more than once that, there should be a reconciliation between the parties, and the necessity to pave the way for dialogue&quot;, pointing to Russia&#39;s welcome for the mere agreement reached between the two sides on the deployment of the Syrian government forces in northeastern Syria with the participation of the SDF to protect the borders.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><strong>Russia is a mediator &nbsp;<\/strong><br \/>\nRegarding the final reconciliation between Damascus and the Kurds, the senior expert of the Russian Oriental Institute believes that, this reconciliation would be in the long term, and Russia is ready to exert all efforts with regard to the consensus between the two parties, noting that Moscow won&#39;t interfere directly in the internal Syrian affairs, because the agreement is among the Syrian parties, and that his country&#39;s role is as a mediator only.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><strong>Groups &quot;mercenaries&quot; of Turkey &nbsp;<\/strong><br \/>\nConcerning the Turkish military operation in northeastern Syria, the Russian expert said: &quot;It is happening by Turkish-affiliated groups without direct intervention from the army of Turkey&quot;. He noted that, if it was the Turkish army, Russia would have forced it out and made it abide by all concluded agreements. &nbsp;<br \/>\nAccording to Konstantin Troivtsov&#39;s prediction, the Turkish operation in northeastern Syria is being carried out by the &quot;mercenaries&quot; of the so-called &quot;National Army&quot; of Turkey, who claim to be Syrians.<br \/>\nTroivtsov noted that, so far &quot;no one knows whether they are Syrian or Turks&quot;, ruling out that, the military operation in northern Syria is being carried out directly by the Turkish army. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">The senior expert stressed that, &quot;if the Turkish army is fighting within the territories of northern Syria, Russia will warn Turkey, and force it to stop its military operations directly, and will make it to return immediately to all agreements on this issue, including Sochi Agreement&quot;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><strong>Right to retaliate<\/strong><br \/>\nIn case that, these strikes aren&#39;t directly from Turkey but from its affiliates, the Syrian government forces with the participation of the SDF have the full right to retaliate, amid the full support of Russia, according to Troivtsov.<br \/>\nHe also pointed out that, during a statement, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov asked the Syrian army to take control of all Syrian territories urgently, noting that the request was merely a call from Lavrov, and it wasn&#39;t an order, since Russia isn&rsquo;t the commander of the Syrian army.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><strong>A Letter to Washington<\/strong><br \/>\nAs for the Turkish president&#39;s visit to the United States yesterday, and whether Erdogan will carry a message from Moscow to Washington, Troivtsov pointed out that he doesn&#39;t have any complete information in this regard. &nbsp;<br \/>\nKonstantin Troivtsov, a senior expert at the Russian Oriental Institute concluded to North-Press that, &quot;Russia denounced and is still denouncing the U.S. presence in the oil areas northeastern Syria, especially in Deir ez-Zor. The U.S. aims to separate it from the Syrian sovereignty completely, and keep it directly under its control, pointing out that the United States is trying to form a separate mini-state in Syria in the oil areas.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>North-Press Agency &nbsp;
