Northern Syria – North-Press Agency<\/p>\n

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have announced its approval to the Russian initiative to stop the Turkish invasion in Syrian territories, and that it would withdraw from the Syrian-Turkish borders and redeploy its forces in new locations.<\/p>\n

In a statement issued by the SDF on Sunday, it said: “After intensive discussions with the Russian Federation regarding our previous reservations, we have agreed to implement its initiative to stop the Turkish aggression on northeastern Syria.” <\/p>\n

As they reiterated that they’re redeploying to new locations away from the Syrian-Turkish borders, “and that is to stop bloodshed and save the population of the region from the Turkish war machine.”<\/p>\n

The statement stressed that the border guards of the central government of Syria will be deployed along the Syrian border-line with Turkey.<\/p>\n

“We assure the public opinion our full commitment to defending the peoples and gains of the region, and we call on the Russian Federation to implement its commitments and ensure a constructive dialogue between the Autonomous Administration and the central government in Damascus,” the statement said in conclusion.<\/p>\n

On the 22nd of October, Russia and Turkey announced in the Russian city of Sochi a memorandum of understanding, recommending the conduct of Russian-Turkish military patrols on the Syrian-Turkish borders at a depth of 10km, in exchange for the withdrawal of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) out of the border areas.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
