James Jeffrey, said in response to a question by a reporter, \u201cWill the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) participate in the process of drafting the constitutional committee?&#8221;<br \/>The reporter repeated to Amb. Jeffrey: &#8220;I meant in my question, will the SDF be represented in the Constitutional Committee?&#8221;<br \/>Amb. Jeffrey replied that he did not mean the SDF, but rather, representatives from north and eastern Syria, &#8220;Wait, I never said the SDF, first and foremost, SDF is an army, and it will never be as&nbsp; you understood\u201d, Jeffery replied.<br \/>&#8220;The Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) is only one of many political bodies in northeastern Syria\u201d, Jeffrey said, \u201cThere are 50 people chosen by the United Nations to represent northeastern Syria. I also said that the region will be less represented than other regions, these are exactly the two things I have said\u201d, he stressed.<br \/>The Russian agency &#8220;Sputnik&#8221; stated after the misunderstanding of Mr. Jeffrey\u2019s statement, that it managed to obtain a full list of the names of representatives of the Constitutional Committee, of which it didn&#8217;t include any names representing the SDF.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Washington DC \u2013 North-Press AgencyHadeel Oueiss &#8220;Of course, there are representatives of northeastern Syria who will participate in the Constitutional Committee which has been recently formed\u201d, the U.S. special envoy to Syria Amb.
