{"id":140780,"date":"2026-08-26T18:43:07","date_gmt":"2026-08-26T18:43:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=140780"},"modified":"2026-08-26T18:43:08","modified_gmt":"2026-08-26T18:43:08","slug":"damascus-international-fair-opens-63rd-edition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/140780\/","title":{"rendered":"Damascus International Fair opens 63rd edition"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) &#8211;<\/strong> The 63rd Damascus International Fair opened on Wednesday in Damascus, attended by President Ahmad al-Sharaa, ministers, officials, business leaders, and prominent cultural and social figures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to Muhammad Hamza, director of the General Establishment for Exhibitions and International Markets, the 63rd edition marks a shift in the fair\u2019s role from simply showcasing products to becoming an integrated platform for business, investment, and connecting companies with decision-makers and markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hamza told several media outlets that the first three days, from Aug. 26 to 28, are dedicated to official delegations, business leaders, and investors, with programs for business-to-business meetings and discussions between the business sector and government bodies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The edition also includes a high-level inaugural economic session titled \u201cThe Road to the Damascus World Economic Forum,\u201d reflecting an effort to establish a sustainable economic path extending beyond the duration of the fair, according to Hamza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first Damascus International Fair was held in September 1954, following a decision in 1953 to organize the event.
