{"id":140698,"date":"2026-08-25T16:08:00","date_gmt":"2026-08-25T16:08:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=140698"},"modified":"2026-08-25T16:08:01","modified_gmt":"2026-08-25T16:08:01","slug":"trump-says-u-s-navy-clears-mines-from-strait-of-hormuz","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/140698\/","title":{"rendered":"Trump says U.S. Navy clears mines from Strait of Hormuz"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press)<\/strong> &#8211; U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that the U.S. Navy had removed or detonated all mines from international waters in the Strait of Hormuz, warning Iran against laying new ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI have just been informed by the United States Navy that all mines have been removed and\/or detonated from within the International Waters of the Strait of Hormuz,\u201d Trump said in a post on Truth Social.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Trump said Iran had been notified that any ship or boat placing new mines would be \u201cimmediately and systematically destroyed.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He added that the U.S. Space Force was monitoring \u201cevery square inch\u201d of the strait and said a \u201cZero Tolerance\u201d policy on mine placement was in effect. Reuters reported that oil shipments through the strait stood at about 5 million barrels per day on Monday, down from more than 20 million barrels per day before the war.
