{"id":140498,"date":"2026-08-19T17:24:12","date_gmt":"2026-08-19T17:24:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=140498"},"modified":"2026-08-19T17:24:14","modified_gmt":"2026-08-19T17:24:14","slug":"israeli-army-chief-says-syria-among-changing-fronts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/140498\/","title":{"rendered":"Israeli army chief says Syria among changing fronts"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) &#8211;<\/strong> Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir said on Wednesday that Syria is one of several fronts where challenges facing Israel are changing, stressing the need to monitor developments there and prepare for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe are operating on multiple fronts where the challenges are changing, and Syria is one of them,\u201d Zamir said, according to Israeli media reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe are monitoring what is happening in Syria and the ongoing changes, and we must prepare for them,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Zamir said Israel would not allow hostile forces to establish positions along its border.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe know how to use force precisely when necessary and at the right time,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He also stressed the need to prevent a military threat from emerging along Israel\u2019s border, saying that the Israeli military had established a security area and a buffer zone for that purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Zamir\u2019s remarks came as Israel continues to monitor developments in Syria and maintain military positions near the Syrian border.
