{"id":140458,"date":"2026-08-18T17:24:21","date_gmt":"2026-08-18T17:24:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=140458"},"modified":"2026-08-18T17:44:27","modified_gmt":"2026-08-18T17:44:27","slug":"syrian-security-forces-arrest-former-regime-major-general-over-alleged-abuses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/140458\/","title":{"rendered":"Syrian security forces arrest former regime major general over alleged abuses"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) <\/strong>&#8211; Syria\u2019s Internal Security Forces arrested former regime Major General Suhail Nadim Abbas on Tuesday after investigations established his involvement in several military operations and violations against Syrians in several governorates, the Interior Ministry said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ministry said in statements published through its official channels that investigations showed Abbas took part in battles in the Talul al-Safa area of Suwayda in 2018 as the commander of an assault group.
