{"id":140154,"date":"2026-08-11T15:30:40","date_gmt":"2026-08-11T15:30:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=140154"},"modified":"2026-08-11T15:30:41","modified_gmt":"2026-08-11T15:30:41","slug":"kobani-security-chief-says-syrian-state-treats-all-equally","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/140154\/","title":{"rendered":"Kobani security chief says Syrian state treats all equally"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>KOBANI, Syria (North Press) \u2014<\/strong> Kobani Internal Security chief said on Tuesday that the Syrian state treats all sides equally after protests over attacks on families returning to Sere Kaniyeh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Majd al-Din al-Sheikh told North Press that the situation in the area was now normal and that security personnel injured during the incidents had sustained minor injuries and were in good health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He said the injured security personnel were members of the Asayish forces integrated into the Interior Ministry, adding that all had left hospitals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The curfew was lifted early Tuesday morning, he said, while security checkpoints were reduced and conditions returned to normal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first phase of the return of families from Sere Kaniyeh, also known as Ras al-Ayn, began Monday, with the first convoy carrying more than 400 families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The returning families were attacked upon arrival, prompting anger and widespread protests in Hasakah, Qamishli and Kobani, according to the report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Al-Sheikh said security forces took the necessary measures after the attacks and ensuing incidents on Monday.
