KOBANI, Syria (North Press) \u2013 <\/strong>The Supply Division in the northern Syrian city of Kobani has completed its integration with the Supply Directorate in Aleppo Governorate and begun implementing administrative and legal procedures adopted by the Syrian transitional government, the division’s head told North Press on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jihan Mohammed, head of the Supply Division in Kobani, said the integration process officially took effect on June 1 and that the office is now operating under a framework of full administrative and executive coordination with Aleppo authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“As part of the integration process, the Supply Division in the Kobani area was integrated into the Supply Directorate of Aleppo Governorate on June 1, 2026,” Mohammed said, adding that all circulars and legal procedures issued by Aleppo Governorate are now being implemented in Kobani.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Mohammed, the division currently employs 21 staff members who have been incorporated into the new structure and have received their salaries from the Syrian transitional government for the past two months through the Sham Cash payment system.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She pointed out that coordination between Kobani and Aleppo covers administrative decisions, circulars, reports and the documentation of violations, noting that supply inspectors will soon be sent to Aleppo to attend training courses on the government’s new working mechanisms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mohammed added that the division has launched an awareness campaign targeting residents and shop owners to familiarize them with the new regulations ahead of their implementation in the coming period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“In the coming days, the laws will be implemented in the region,” she said, adding that the division’s work aims to serve residents and ensure that procedures are carried out in accordance with official regulations.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She also revealed that authorities will introduce a QR code system that will be displayed in every shop and serve as an electronic identification tool for businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The system is expected to facilitate inspections, streamline the recording of violations and allow residents to submit complaints directly to the division for follow-up and processing, according to Mohammed.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The integration of Kobani’s institutions comes within the framework of the Jan. 29 agreement signed between Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa and Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) commander Mazloum Abdi, which aims to integrate the military and civilian institutions of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria into the Syrian state. The agreement outlines cooperation on security, administrative and service sectors, including the incorporation of local institutions into government ministries and directorates, as part of broader efforts to stabilize the country and unify state institutions following years of conflict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
