{"id":139257,"date":"2026-07-18T08:46:32","date_gmt":"2026-07-18T08:46:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=139257"},"modified":"2026-07-18T08:46:33","modified_gmt":"2026-07-18T08:46:33","slug":"alouk-station-pumps-water-to-hasakah-countryside-after-7-years-cutoff","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/139257\/","title":{"rendered":"Alouk station pumps water to Hasakah countryside after 7-years cutoff"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) \u2013<\/strong> Water from the Alouk pumping station in the countryside of Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain) reached the town of Tel Tamr in northern Hasakah, northeastern Syria, for the first time in seven years, a local official on Saturday told North Press.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Noura Aziz, head of the Water Department in Tel Tamr, said the water arrived late Friday night after years of interrupted service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She said technical teams opened the control valve for the Tel Tamr supply line on Saturday morning to inspect the transmission network and verify that it is ready for operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to Aziz, water will initially be pumped on a trial basis for limited hours to test the pipelines, which have remained unused for several years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She added that once the inspections are completed and the network is confirmed to be functioning properly, pumping will continue toward the city of Hasakah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last week, Syria&#8217;s Ministry of Energy announced the start of trial pumping from the Alouk station after several months of maintenance and rehabilitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ministry said the testing phase is intended to assess the readiness of the station and its transmission lines before full operations resume.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>By Samer Yassin<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) \u2013 Water from the Alouk pumping station in the countryside of Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain) reached the town of Tel Tamr in northern Hasakah, northeastern Syria, for the first time in seven years, a local official on Saturday told North Press.
