{"id":139091,"date":"2026-07-15T06:24:59","date_gmt":"2026-07-15T06:24:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=139091"},"modified":"2026-07-15T06:25:00","modified_gmt":"2026-07-15T06:25:00","slug":"u-s-military-resumes-maritime-blockade-of-iranian-ports","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/139091\/","title":{"rendered":"U.S. military resumes maritime blockade of Iranian ports"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) \u2013<\/strong> The U.S. military on Tuesday announced that it has resumed a comprehensive naval blockade targeting vessels traveling to and from Iranian ports and coastal areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a statement, the U.S. military said the blockade resumed at 4:00 PM Eastern Time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The military added that more than 20 U.S. Navy warships and hundreds of military aircraft are currently operating across the Middle East as part of the ongoing mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Earlier on Tuesday, the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said American forces were carrying out additional strikes against Iran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to Reuters, a U.S. official said American forces launched several more strikes on military targets inside Iran to eliminate what were described as emerging threats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, Iranian state media reported missile attacks on multiple locations across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">State media also said U.S. missiles struck a target on Qeshm Island in the strategic Strait of Hormuz, though officials provided no details about the nature of the site or the extent of the damage and casualties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>By Taysir Mohammed<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) \u2013 The U.S. military on Tuesday announced that it has resumed a comprehensive naval blockade targeting vessels traveling to and from Iranian ports and coastal areas.
