{"id":138959,"date":"2026-07-10T15:44:03","date_gmt":"2026-07-10T15:44:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=138959"},"modified":"2026-07-10T15:44:04","modified_gmt":"2026-07-10T15:44:04","slug":"syrian-authorities-seize-explosives-cache-linked-to-damascus-bombings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/138959\/","title":{"rendered":"Syrian authorities seize explosives cache linked to Damascus bombings"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) \u2013<\/strong> Syrian authorities announced on Friday that security forces had seized a cache of explosives and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) allegedly belonging to the cell accused of carrying out the July 7 bombings in the capital, Damascus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a statement, the Syrian Interior Ministry said intensive investigations led authorities to a secret hideout that the group had reportedly used to store explosives in preparation for what it described as a series of planned \u201cterrorist attacks.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the ministry, Internal Security Forces carried out a raid on the site after obtaining information from members of the detained cell during questioning.
