The checkpoint was reportedly used to detain hundreds of residents from Daraa governorate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ministry also alleged that al-Hussein played a role in preparing reports and testimonies that led to the arrest and enforced disappearance of a number of civilians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Authorities further stated that investigations revealed his alleged involvement in corruption and embezzlement of public funds after his retirement in 2015.
