{"id":138273,"date":"2026-06-10T12:05:52","date_gmt":"2026-06-10T12:05:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/?p=138273"},"modified":"2026-06-10T12:05:54","modified_gmt":"2026-06-10T12:05:54","slug":"erdogan-says-attacks-on-syria-lebanon-threaten-turkish-security","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/npasyria.com\/en\/138273\/","title":{"rendered":"Erdogan says attacks on Syria, Lebanon threaten Turkish security"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) \u2013<\/strong> Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo\u011fan on Wednesday said that Turkey&#8217;s security extends beyond its borders, declaring that it begins in Aleppo, Damascus, and Beirut rather than in Turkey&#8217;s southern province of Hatay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaking before the ruling Justice and Development Party in parliament, Erdogan said Turkey would not allow any &#8220;fait accompli&#8221; to be imposed in neighboring countries and would not ignore attacks targeting them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;T\u00fcrkiye&#8217;s security begins not in Hatay, but in Aleppo, Damascus and Beirut,&#8221; Erdogan said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Turkish president also described the planned participation of U.S. President Donald Trump in the upcoming North Atlantic Treaty Organization summit in Ankara as &#8220;a valuable step&#8221; that would strengthen alliance cohesion and unity. He noted that Turkey has intensified preparations to make the summit a landmark event in NATO&#8217;s history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Addressing regional developments, Erdogan said Ankara understands what he described as the &#8220;delusion of the Promised Land,&#8221; stressing that Turkey would not allow such plans to succeed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;No one should seek adventure.
